This panel was an instructive one for me. As I was thumbnailing this comic on sticky notes I originally sketched a panel where BvB punches Count Fishravin, but before I could finish the page I threw the yellow square away. While I don’t think he’s a pacifist, something felt wrong about having him use force in that way. My favorite heroes look for another way. Let’s have the action, but not the violence. And I think this panel turned out way cooler because of that choice.
