Risking immodesty, I do love Maggie's line about the cookbook with a scary face on the cover. I'm a big fan of dialogue that leaves things up to the reader's imagination. Like this moment in The Case of the Two-Faced Statue:
Spoilers: We never see her turn into a werewolf.
But this kind of thing isn't for everyone--I got some small, playful complaints about this moment in the book. But I still think that there's no way I could draw Fleet as a werewolf better than what you imagine. And your cookbook with the scary face on the cover is ten times better than whatever I could draw.
Special thanks to my color assistant/flatter, Phoenix Cram.
