Inspired by a recent Twitter conversation I had with
Kasey Van Hise, today I share a few thoughts about the difference between real world logic, internal story logic, and story idea logic. Focusing too much on the minute details of the logic of details in a story (such as wondering about the necessity of gender in The Transformers franchise), can distract you from what the story is meant to convey. I suspect that it can also influence your writing, which could be good or bad, depending on what you want to achieve in your work.
