At least once every summer Anne and I will go to the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery for a day of drawing outdoors. Located in hilly Fresno, Ohio, it’s a peaceful place surrounded by trees and–well, pigs:
Working on the new Doctor Baer webcomic means I’m once again under deadline, with a strict time budget of 5 hours per page. So I don’t often get to draw lazily, letting the ideas emerge as I go. I really enjoyed making this drawing of Pickles in the woods. Took my sweet time with it.
