The Case of the Mummy Express, pg 55

Y'all missed your train, babe.

Special thanks to color assistant Wyvern Barker.

I don't want to bum any kids out, but your parents might have noticed that the Back to School sales are ramping up. With that in mind, I've updated the Doctor Baer Etsy store with some new notebooks:

You can proclaim your belief in Pickles' philosophy with this Hug Magic Notebook

Or you can show off some hip retro vibes with this 80s themed notebook featuring the adventurers from the beginning and end of The Case of the Two-Faced Statue.

How about letting your friends know you were a reader of The Case of the Mummy Express before it even came out in print with this sweet notebook featuring Doctor Baer vs. Count Fishravin?

You can read every month's worth of updates early by supporting me at the $3 level on Patreon, or get them for free by signing up for my email list below:

Hi! my name is Jerzy Drozd, and I am a cartoonist and teaching artist. I wrote and drew Science Comics: Rockets with my wife, Anne Drozd. I am one of the artists of The Warren Commission Report.

I lead cartooning workshops for children and teens in libraries and schools, as well as for teachers who want to bring comics to the classroom. I’m a member of the Ohio Arts Council’s Teaching Artist Roster. I also podcast about comics and how to make them.

I’ve drawn special projects for Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, Marvel Comics, VIZ Media, and others. My latest graphic novel is a middle-grade fantasy called The Inscrutable Doctor Baer and the Case of the Two-Faced Statue.

I try to go to the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery at least once a year. Out in the hills near Coschocton, OH, where I get almost no cell service, this place is a peaceful haven where I can spend an afternoon drawing without purpose or distraction. It can be healing to make art that isn’t…

Svengoolie night means watching Godzilla films and glazing new talismans for the Doctor Baer store. Hope to release these later this summer.
